Calling In Absent

To report a student absent, please call the Marshall Elementary School's Absent Line at (973) 378-7698 then press 1. Please leave a message with the following information: 

• Your child’s name, your name, your child's teacher's name and grade
• Day or dates your child will be absent
• The reason your child will be absent. If your child is absent due to illness, please indicate whether your child has a temperature of over 100 degrees.

Additionally, you have the option of sending an email to the marshallabsence@somsd.k12.nj.us to alert the school in writing of any changes to your student’s day. Please note you should also copy your student’s teacher on the email so that they are aware.You will receive an automatic response letting you know that your email has been received and will be recorded.
