Before & After Care

Childcare is available both before and after school through the South Mountain YMCA. School-age child care serves children in all elementary school for the South Orange/Maplewood School District and follows the school district's calendar.

The program includes snack time and activity time including art & crafts, character development, STEAM activities, games, dance, outdoor play/organized recreation and a designated quiet time when homework is encouraged.

ON-SITE Before Care is at Marshall beginning at 7:15 a.m. Delayed school openings cancels the Before School Care Program. When schools are closed for inclement weather, the programs are canceled.

ON-SITE After School Care Programs run from school dismissal until 6:30pm. The Marshall contact information is 973-761-5801 (land line) and 862-400-6019 (cell). 

OFF-SITE After School Care Programs run from school dismissal until 7:00pm. OFF-SITE After school for Marshall students is located at the South Mountain YMCA Program Center (Grades K-2) at 13 Jefferson Avenue in Maplewood, NJ. 

Open Enrollment for before and after care for the 2019-2020 school year began online on May 29, 2019  and at the South Mountain YMCA Welcome Center, 13 Jefferson Ave. Maplewood, NJ. Registrations are accepted until the program is full.
