Giving Thanks

Thank you for your donations to our annual Walk & Move- a-thon. Together we raised $17,691! And
our Sockbin was overflowing with socks. We beat our goal, and together we donated over 1,940 pairs of socks! We couldn’t be more grateful for our amazing Marshall community. We hope everyone has a happy and healthy Thanksgiving break.

Happening in November!

Hello November!

October 31 was a special day at Marshall thanks to our amazing staff and volunteers! We’d also like to thank two local businesses who generously gifted their services to our Marshall community for Fall Fest. Marshall parent Andrea Julien of Decor Amor NJ created the gorgeous balloon arch for our pumpkin patch - it set the stage for a beautiful event! Marshall parents Chade and Sebastian Pierre of Grapevine Mobile Bar closed the school day with their spooky hot chocolate and apple cider drinks near the playground, which were a huge hit! Marshall is fortunate to be surrounded by such generous local businesses - thank you Decor Amor NJ and Grapevine Mobile Bar for contributing to our day!

Scholastic Book Fair

The Book Fair is finally here! Starting Monday, students will visit the Book Fair during the school day using the more equitable program we piloted last spring. We’ll divide funds from class e-wallets equally among students in each class, and everyone will have the chance to participate in the joy of purchasing books.  Click here to add funds to your classroom’s e-wallet, and donate funds for the benefit of all Marshall students by following the prompts to “Share the Fair.” Sign up here to volunteer, and we hope to see you at Family Night on Thursday, November 21, from 5-8 pm.

Please note that due to the fair’s new location in the multipurpose room, entrance to Family Night will be at the ramp on the new addition, accessible via Marshall Ct. or University Ct. Questions? Email bookfair@marshall-pta.org.

Marshall Bike Bus

The next Marshall Bike Bus is Friday, 11/22! Join this exciting, new tradition of Marshall families biking to school on Fridays along a predetermined route, with students joining at stops along the way. For more information, follow @marshallbikebus on Instagram, and join the WhatsApp group

We’re also excited to share that Marshall is getting bike racks to hold up to 36 bikes - perfect timing to support this new Friday tradition!

Cultural Arts Committee

The Cultural Arts Committee is planning another exciting year of assemblies and residencies, and we’d like your help finding artists, performers, cultural organizations, or other guests to bring new assemblies to Marshall School.

- Are you connected with a cultural organization that partners with schools?

- Have you seen an amazing performance you’d like our owls to experience?

- Do you have a personal connection to a culture or community you’d like to see represented?

- Are YOU an artist or performer interested in sharing your talents or traditions with students?

If so, please email the Cultural Arts Committee at culturalarts@marshall-pta.org. We’d love to chat!
