Class dues can now be paid online

You can now pay class dues online if you wish. Log in to My Account and click on My Forms. You will see on option for Donations. There's no reason to send it through backpack mail and wondering if you sent it come December. Another good reason? If you contribute online and since the PTA is a non-profit org, you will get a receipt for tax deductible contributions. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Class Parents.

Pumpkin Chuckin' at Marshall School

There are second grade students that worked collaboratively to construct catapults for the purpose of launching sugar pumpkins over a distance. Students measured, cut and assembled their catapults from a single eight (8) foot plank following a basic schematic that gave visual, step-by-step instructions.

Local Principal Bonita Samuels Receives Grant to Champion Creativity in Schools

Creatively Alive Children

Mrs. Bonita Samuels is one of 20 elementary and middle school principals from across the nation who has been selected by Crayola and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) to receive a “Champion Creatively Alive Children” school grant. Samuels is principal of Marshall Elementary School in South Orange, New Jersey. Crayola and NAESP together selected 20 schools to receive the grants, which will fund innovative programs aimed at fostering children’s critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills.

Good Reads & Good Deeds Action Book Club

Action Book Club

Instead of participating in TV Turn Off, Marshall school is an official member of the Little Free Library Action Book Club, and participating in the Good Reads and Good Deeds" Action Book Club. 

The Action Book Club was developed by the founders of the Little Free Library nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading and builds community. The goal of our book club is to invite the Marshall community to read books as a family or with a group and use the books as inspirations for good deeds. Choosing books that spotlight character traits, teach life lessons, embrace diversity and compassion and respect differences are encouraged.
