A Reminder From Principal Swyberius

Please continue to follow our drop off and dismissal procedures with student safety in mind. We know that the recent snowfall has added to the already challenging parking situation around the school, but families are not able to drive into the bus lane during morning drop off or drop off students in grades K-2 at the curb. This can create unsafe situations for our students and we have observed an increase in these instances recently. We appreciate your support in keeping our Marshall Owls safe as they enter and exit school! Spring will be here soon!!

Purchase your Teacher Time tickets HERE now through March 15th! Check out the exciting experiences our teachers are offering — from special activities to one-of-a-kind time together, then grab your raffle tickets for a chance to win!

Every student is automatically entered into the Principal for the Day and Assistant Principal for the Day raffles. Want to boost your chances? Additional entries start at just $3 each. All proceeds support our school community, so every ticket makes a difference! Questions? We’re happy to help at fundraising@marshall-pta.org.

Global Day of Unplugging

Team Unscreen is teaming up with our libraries, the school district, The Grapevine Mobile Bar, Oh Canary, and other amazing community partners for the Global Day of Unplugging 2026! On March 6 & 7, we’re inviting SOMA families to unplug, put phones down, and step back into real life.

Go phone-free (or phone-light), spend time together, show up in person, and choose connection on purpose. Check out the full schedule of events and activities happening around town and learn more at somsdk12.org/calendar/unplug.

Women’s History Month Cultural Arts Assembly

On March 11 during school hours, Marshall Owls will celebrate Women’s History Month with a PTA-sponsored author’s visit from Marshall mom Jen Hayes Lee! Families may reserve a signed copy of her book, The Golden Hoops, by completing this order form by March 15. Quantities are limited and fulfilled first come, first served.
