A Reminder From Principal Swyberius

Please continue to follow our drop off and dismissal procedures with student safety in mind. We know that the recent snowfall has added to the already challenging parking situation around the school, but families are not able to drive into the bus lane during morning drop off or drop off students in grades K-2 at the curb. This can create unsafe situations for our students and we have observed an increase in these instances recently. We appreciate your support in keeping our Marshall Owls safe as they enter and exit school! Spring will be here soon!!

Week of March 2nd

Teacher Time Starts on Monday!

Teacher Time starts on Monday, March 2, and runs through March 15. Look out for an email on Monday with a link to view all of the teacher offerings and buy raffle tickets for this fundraiser. All students will automatically receive two entries, and raffle tickets start at $3 each. Sign up to get some special time with our beloved teachers!

Crossing Guard Appreciation Week

Next week our Sunshine Committee will honor Marshall’s crossing guards with a token of appreciation for keeping our Owls safe, and there are more opportunities for them to feel the love from each and everyone of us. Walk Bike Ride South Orange, the South Orange and Maplewood Police Departments, and JESPY House invite all SOMSD schools to participate in the 4th Annual SOMa Crossing Guard Appreciation Week from March 2-6, 2025. Thank your neighborhood crossing guard(s) with a token of appreciation such as a card, a poster, a hot drink, a treat, or just by saying thanks! Here’s a downloadable card template!

Upcoming Half Days

Marshall will have 4-hour days on Wednesday, March 4 - Friday, March 6 for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Don’t forget to sign up!
