PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome Marshall parents. We would like to share a brief message on what the Marshall PTA is about. We are a volunteer organization that promotes the partnership between the families of Marshall students and the teachers, administrators, and staff at the school. Our goal is to build a warm and inclusive community that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all our students.
The PTA performs several functions to achieve this goal including community building social events, cultural arts experiences, assembly programming, community service projects, academic enrichment programs such as the read-a-thon and book fair. You may be surprised to hear that we also coordinate school pictures, provide care for the beloved Marshall fish tanks, and much more.
The pandemic has presented many challenges for the PTA but we are rebuilding and reimagining to offer the best programs and experiences we can for 2022-23 and beyond!
The 2022-23 PTA Board is excited for a fun year. We are hoping you will join us as a volunteer in any capacity you are able. There is an opportunity for every interest and time commitment level. From gardening on the weekend, to staffing an event during or after school, to designing a flyer when you have a few minutes.
I would urge every parent to consider joining the PTA as a general member. You will be in the know about upcoming events, attend meetings, participate in board and budget votes, and feel good about supporting this organization that does so much for our children. You can join at the Marshall PTA web site.
Also please mark your calendars now for the annual Spring Fundraiser, March 25, 2023. It will be a parents night out you won't want to miss!
Sincerely,
Laina Stapleton
