Welcome Marshall families to the 2023-2024 school year. The Marshall Parent Teacher Association is a volunteer organization that promotes the partnership between the families of Marshall students and the teachers, administrators, and staff at the school. Our goal is to build a warm and inclusive community that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all our students.

The PTA performs several functions to achieve this goal including community building events like the Ice Cream Social, educational programming like cultural assemblies and community service projects,  and child-centered fundraisers such as the read-a-thon and book fair. You may be surprised to hear that we also coordinate field day, school pictures, provide care for the beloved Marshall fish tanks, and much more.

From the Pandemic Years to the Construction Zone, the PTA is here to support, advocate, and do whatever we can to create the best possible experience for our children and yours.

The 2023-2024 PTA Board is excited for a fun and productive year. We are hoping you will join us as a volunteer in any capacity you are able. There is an opportunity for every interest and time commitment level. From helping out at lunch, to staffing an event during or after school, to designing a flyer when you have a few minutes, to advising us on how we can be more inclusive of all our families. And yes, occasionally the PTA still bakes cookies!

I would urge every Marshall family to join the PTA. You will be in the know about upcoming events, attend meetings, participate in board and budget votes, and feel good about supporting this organization that does so much for our children. You can join here.

Please mark your calendars now for our upcoming events and come say "Hi" at the PTA table!

Sincerely,

Laina Stapleton
