Beyond The Bell

 

Beyond the Bell is an after-school program created by the South Orange-Maplewood School District’s Parenting Center. Beyond the Bell is designed to help students stretch and grow by coordinating, deepening and expanding after-school opportunities at the elementary level. Students are introduced to a wide variety of subjects and activities, taught by enthusiastic and experienced instructors in a comfortable and familiar environment. Some of the instructors are Marshall School teachers or parents, while others come to us from the wider community. 

 

Fall registration begins Thursday, September 12 at 7:00 a.m. and ends on Wednesday, September 18. Register and pay online at https://www.somsd.k12.nj.us/district/btb/brbreg/. 

 

There are three sessions during the Marshall School year and held on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3:15 pm - 4:25 pm. The classes are amazing and lots of fun for students. 

  • Fall Classes begin Wednesday, October 2 
    • Wednesday sessions: October 2, 16, 23, 30, November 13, 20
    • Thursday sessions: October 3, 10, 17, 24, November 14, 21
  • Winter Classes begin Wednesday, January 15
    • Wednesday sessions: January 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26
    • Thursday sessions: January 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27
  • Spring Classes are from April to June

The online registration process shows class availability and will provide a confirmation of your class registration as soon as the credit card payment is finalized. To find your school/classes, after you login in, please click on the locations button on the upper right, then select Marshall School.

 

You can also send the paper registration form in through your child’s backpack beginning the day your school's registration opens. It is important to indicate your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice options to ensure your child gets a class they will enjoy.

 

If you are seeking a scholarship (based on free and reduced lunch), you can find paper registration when school begins in Marshall School's office. Please make sure to sign the form and return it to the school as soon as possible. For more information, visit SOMSD's Beyond the Bell website.
